The Green Deal – Opportunities for businesses in Milton Keynes and South East Midlands
Event sponsored by ECMK.
Date 14th June 7:30 - 09:00 for breakfast
Britain has some of the oldest building stock in Europe. Our draughty homes are poorly insulated, leaking heat and using up energy. As consumers, we pay a high price for inefficient housing – and so does the planet. A quarter of the UK’s carbon emissions comes from the energy we use to heat our homes and a similar amount comes from our businesses, industry and workplaces.
The Green Deal is a revolutionary new government programme intended to bring our buildings up to date across the UK. But does it represent significant opportunities for businesses? How can retailers, tradespeople, energy companies and investors have access to this huge and growing market? What are the implications for jobs and skills across the supply chain – and across the Milton Keynes and South East Midlands region?
Join us for this event to discover how businesses and consumers can now make the energy efficiency improvements that best suit their situation.
